The Center for the Study of World Christian Revitalization Movements based at Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore, Kentucky) is currently carrying out a research work on renewal movements around the globe. Asbury undertakes this research in collaboration with its partner institutions in East Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
As one of its partner institutions, Asia Graduate School of Theology (AGST) Philippines is honored to be part of this significant research project. A consultation consisting of 40 scholars and Christian leaders carefully selected from different regions and from various Christian traditions will be held at the International Graduate School of Leadership on July 14-18. The participants will do an in-depth study of five case studies on Christian Revitalization in the Philippines. The five stories are important illustrative cases that will help further understand the great opportunities to which God is calling the world Christian movement today.
Rev. Dr. Timothy Tennent, the President of Asbury Theological Seminary and a respected scholar-leader in the study of Christian mission, will be present throughout the consultation and speak at the public event that will take place immediately after the consultation. Dr. Tennent and others will be sharing the broad learnings of the consultation for the good of all.
