MISSION AND
VISION
The Narramore Christian Foundation founded and supports the doctoral program in Southeast Asia, an area of the world underserved by mental health practitioners, especially those who view emotional disorders from a Christian perspective.
Our mission is to provide psychological understanding, training, and theological integration in an Asian context with the following emphases:
- Clinical: We strive to develop skilled, compassionate, and competent practitioners of counseling and psychotherapy.
- Instructional: We prepare well-informed instructors and teachers who articulate psycho- spiritual principles of Christian emotional health.
- Integration: We develop Christian counselors who personally exemplify Christ-like character and emotional maturity in their endeavor to integrate Biblical truths with the principles of true psychological research and knowledge.
- Research: We train Christian counselors who contribute original research and written resources to the field.
As the only clinical Christian counseling doctoral program in Southeast Asia, our vision is to see our graduates use their knowledge and deep understanding of psychotherapy to minister in a variety of modalities to suffering and broken people.
